I went from the design world no longer wanting to hire me when I became visibly disabled and in a wheelchair, to them finally seeing the relevancy and worth of my perspective, not just as a disabled person but a full on professional designer.because I am. I love the things I was talking about in design college in 2002 are now being embraced & implemented by companies. We talked design philosophy + accessibility, and I enjoyed my time with those who care about accessibility in design. I met with its Lead & Co-inventor of the adaptive Xbox controller, Bryce Johnson and fellow Industrial Designers like the Director of Design, Carl Ledbetter. Last week in Washington I had a great meeting at Microsoft and toured their Inclusive Lab.
